Balotelli confident of big season for Inter Milan

Mario Balotelli is ready for a big season ahead with Jose Mourinho's Inter Milan.

The teenage striker told Calcio 2000 magazine: "I would be satisfied in a year from now if I had won the Champions League with Inter and played for Italy.

"As for the future, I'd want to win the Ballon d'Or. I wouldn't call it my dream, though, as I don't have dreams in my career, just targets."

It was already clear that Balotelli was not lacking in confidence when he burst on to the scene with goals that helped the Nerazzurri take the Scudetto last season.

"My name has been mentioned with regards to Italy and I think this nation doesn't ignore its youngsters when there is quality.

"This is all talk, though, as it is down to the Coach to decide. He said he'd consider all players between 18 and 40, so I fit in that bracket!

"I had to wait so long for August 13, 2008, to finally become an Italian citizen. I'm taking it one step at a time and, of course, it depends how I play this season."
