Embattled Heart of Midlothian have lost the first of an expected many players with news that goalkeeper Janos Balogh has departed.
The 29-year old Hungarian has come to an agreement with the Edinburgh outfit to cancel his contract which was set to expire in the middle of January.
Balogh admitted that he will have great memories of playing at Tynecastle and says he thoroughly enjoyed his three-and-a-half years in Edinburgh.
"In fact, the Hibs games I played in were all special - I remember making the save of my life against them at Tynecastle when I had to change direction to turn a deflected shot onto the post.
"It was a good move for me to come to Hearts and it improved meas a keeper, although it was frustrating not to be able to prove it in the last 15 months. I didn't have much luck during that time but I will remember my first two years here for a long time.
"Living in Edinburgh was a new culture for me and my family and I would like to come back to visit some time.""I enjoyed my time here and my debut for the club in the derby against Hibs was a special moment for me. It was a dream debut for me," he told Hearts News.
Hearts are likely to lose a few more players this winter as the financial situation of the club continues to put strain on player payments.
