Lazio coach Davide Ballardini feels they're capable of anything this season.

He said: "I feel we have a squad that can fight it out on level terms with any opponent. We have players of quality and solidity, so when there are the right prerogatives, we can achieve anything."

Ballardini has already caused shockwaves since taking over from Delio Rossi this summer, upsetting the odds to defeat Inter 2-1 in Beijing and earning a 3-0 victory over Elfsborg in the Europa League this week.

"We will have to make some changes to rest players, but without completely transforming the squad. We have to push past the pain barrier and focus only on the team we are facing at that moment. We need to be totally concentrated.

"Atalanta are a club who represent the epitome of planning, competence and long-term vision. They start from the grassroots level with one of the best youth academies in Europe.

"Last season they did very well and have some truly interesting new faces. They are a competitive side and a difficult one to face."
