Ballardini defends Genoa sales

Genoa coach Davide Ballardini doesn't believe his squad has been weakened this month.

Last week Genoa completed the signing of Wigan Athletic striker Mauro Boselli, although a muscular injury will delay his debut by two weeks. But they have also lost Andrea Ranocchia (Inter Milan) and Luca Toni (Juventus).

Giuseppe Sculli is also ready to join Lazio this week.

“We have sent away some important players and brought in quality youngsters," said Ballardini. "But they are not yet ready to be used, aside from Juraj Kucka.”
