Chelsea hero Michael Ballack has backed Jose Mourinho's appointment.

Ballack dismisses claims 'you never go back' regarding the Special One.

"Chelsea has made a fantastic decision by appointing Mourinho. He has an excellent character and is a great coach.

"It is never a wrong choice to return to a former club. "Chelsea is fantastic, they won the Champions League last year and this year's Europa League. Financially it looks good, the fans love him. This is a beautiful package."
