Michael Ball has declared he wants to stay with Manchester City.
The fullback said: "Hopefully I can carve out a future for myself at the club but it is out of my hands at the moment. The manager may have an open cheque book and will be able to pick anyone he wants from all over the world but he has to get people who are right for the team and right for the club.
"In the immediate future it is my job to make sure I stay in the team and that we start accumulating points before the New Year. That will give me the best possible chance to stay in the side.
"City is not a club that anyone would want to be leaving at the moment because the future looks so bright."
