Kevin Ball is happy to be back in charge of Sunderland U21s.
Ball stepped back into the role after being caretaker manager for several games before Gus Poyet's appointment.
"I always knew when I stepped up that the position was on a temporary basis," he told the Sunderland Echo. "I would have been happy to take the job on full-time.
"But I was always aware that somebody else might come in and I was ready to accept whoever was appointed, wish them all the best, and get on with it as always."
