Gareth Bale is confident that Tottenham will qualify for the Champions League with a top-four finish this season.
The Welshman netted a double to help Spurs get the better of Newcastle United 2-1 on Saturday which sees them sitting four points clear of North London rivals Arsenal who are fifth.
Bale feels that Tottenham are much better equipped to continue their good recent form after disappointing ends to campaigns that has forced them to miss European football in the past.
"We have learned from our mistakes from previous years and now we can be a lot stronger going in to the finishing end of the season so I hope we can do it," Bale told Tottenham's official website.
"In recent years we have kind of gone off the boil a little at this time of the season but I think the lads have got a lot more confidence."
