Tottenham winger Gareth Bale admits he had great fun in victory at Wigan Athletic.

Spurs defeated the Latics 2-1.

"We were so dominant in the first half, it was enjoyable to play in," Bale told the Spurs website. "We moved the ball well, created chances and felt comfortable.

"At 2-0 up, the next goal is important and if they get it, they are right back in it and that's what happened. If we'd scored, we would have killed the game off.

"We were a bit sloppy to concede but we got the job done in the end and that's the most important thing."

Meanwhile, Bale was full of praise for the travelling Spurs fans at the DW.

"It was like playing at home," he said. "Our fans were buzzing through the whole game and kept us going. They were brilliant."
