Gareth Bale hailed his Tottenham teammates after their storming victory over Manchester City.
Trailing 1-0 to Samir Nasri's early strike, the arrival of substitutes Tom Huddlestone, Lewis Holtby and Jermain Defoe helped turn momentum in Spurs' favour before a stunning spell of three goals in seven minutes turned the game on its head.
"We knew it was a massive game and going 1-0 down was a bit disappointing, but the lads showed the character to turn it around," Bale told the Spurs website.
"That spell was amazing. As soon as we scored the equaliser everyone had the confidence and belief. The fans raised the roof and that gave us even more belief to go forward and we were able to score two more after that.
"All three goals were important. The first gave us the belief, the second killed them off a little and the third sealed it. It was a great comeback."
