Gareth Bale has been impressed by new Tottenham boss Juande Ramos in the early days of his reign.
"Juande is a very good manager. He seems down-to-earth but wants to get everything organised and correct the mistakes we've been making," Bale said.
"I think he's going to do a very good job and everyone's looking forward to it. "To start with, we've got to win games, that's the main thing at the moment. If we can climb up the league and get out of this situation, hopefully we can get back to where we belong.
"The fans have helped and given me a lot more confidence. They get behind the team a lot and I think that's what we need at the moment. If they keep doing that I think we'll push right up the league towards a place in Europe."
"I had some scans on my foot and they revealed there was no break, so that was the most important thing," he added.
"It was just a bruised bone, which I'm still recovering from, and there's a lot of swelling as well. I'm hoping to be back in training within the next couple of days and hopefully I can get back in the team soon.
"On a personal level, there's been a few good performances so far but it's not about me at the end of the day, it's about the team and I think we need to pick up a few good results. Hopefully we can get a bit of luck in doing that.
"I think a win is important just to get that confidence up a little bit more so we can push on from there and start climbing up the league table as well as do well in the cup competitions."
