Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos is upset over plans to upgrade Gareth Bale's contract.

Sport says he is currently the second best paid player behind Cristiano Ronaldo, a status that is in danger after Toni Kroos' renovation and the impending agreement with Bale.

Ramos' role at Madrid is in clear decline. After tough negotiations and many exit rumours, he signed a deal for €10m a season until 2020. A big figure but far from the astronomic ones that are being discussed.

Cristiano takes €20m a season, while Bale is aiming for €16-17m. Much larger than Ramos' salary.
