Gareth Bale admits he has ambitions beyond Tottenham.

The Wales wing wonder is adamant he does not want to quit White Hart Lane at the moment. But he admits it is definitely something he would consider in the future.

He told The Sun: "I'm happy at Tottenham and do not want to leave yet. But it would never scare me to go abroad.

"I left home in Wales to join Southampton when I was 15. I won't be frightened to have a go abroad if that opportunity ever came up.

"I'm enjoying my time at Tottenham. And I'm enjoying playing week in, week out.

"But if ever something came up in future I wouldn't be frightened of taking that opportunity."

Bale, realising the impact his words now have on the game, was quick to add: "Please don't write that as I want to leave Tottenham and go abroad. I'm just talking about the future."
