Daniel Levy has made it vehemently clear that Tottenham will not be selling Gareth Bale and Luka Modric anytime soon.

During the summer, Modric was a strong target for Chelsea, who threw big money at him, whilst Bale has been loosely linked with bigger clubs in Spain and Italy but chairman Levy does not intent to cash in on the star pair in the near future as the North Londoners chase the Premiership.

"We have a great squad with exceptional talent and none of the main players will be leaving in January," he said.

"I hope we have a great season and that we can finish in the top four or, who knows, maybe even higher. We want first place."
