Aston Villa defender Nathan Baker has backed his teammate Libor Kozak to make a successful return from his horrible injury lay-off.
The Czech Republic striker found the net on his first senior appearance in 19 months in the pre-season fixture against Fulham on the weekend.
The 26-year-old had not played for Villa since December 2013, after he suffered a double fracture in his leg, and teammate Baker was delighted to see him make a scoring comeback ahead of what could be a strong season for the former Lazio man.
"It's been a struggle for him because he's been off with a broken leg," said Baker. "But to come back and score is good for him.
"I've had some injuries to deal with last season so I was with him in the treatment room at times but it's a place we don't really want to be at.'
"He's definitely capable (of having a big season). He showed that he can score goals. He's a big frame so I don't see why not.
"It's a new season and a new start so hopefully he can carry on in the way he's started this pre-season schedule."
Kozak scored four goals in 14 league appearances for Villa before his injury.
