Baird set to leave Perth Glory for Central Coast Mariners

Central Coast Mariners have strengthened their attack with the signing of Michael Baird from Perth Glory.

The official announcement is yet to be made but it is believed that the 27-year old will join the Mariners for the remainder of the season.

Baird has not played a part in any Glory match since November 28, which was his 13th for the club. It has been revealed by The Australian that a clause in the former Universitatea Craiova (Romania) forward's contract would have triggered another season if he made 15 appearances.

The Mariners will welcome the striker to Bluetongue Stadium as they prepare for a run in the 2010/11 finals series.
