Everton fullback Leighton Baines insists fans shouldn't be concerned after their 2-0 friendly defeat to Chicago Fire.
"A few lads got their first real run out - the likes of Steven Pienaar, Yakubu and Joseph Yobo. Those are the lads that we know are going to make us stronger as they improve [their fitness]. We're going to get better."
Baines was not expecting a full run out at Toyota Park but was thrown in by Moyes after Nuno Valente picked up a slight knock in training.
Having played just 27 minutes since going under the knife in May, the left back was pleased to come through the 90 unscathed.
"I felt fine," he gleamed. "It was just a case of going out and seeing how I felt. Luckily I got a full game under my belt which will be great for me in the long term."
