Leighton Baines is adamant Everton do not need major squad surgery this summer.

The England left-back says this season's campaign has suffered due to injuries, not a lack of quality.

"We've got to try and get everyone ready for next season, we're already talking about keeping this squad together - we know what a great squad it is," Baines told evertonfc.com.

"It doesn't need massively strengthening. I'm sure the manager will be looking to bring a couple of players in here and there. We've got such good players here that I think if we had everyone fit, we're going to challenge anyone."
