Baines to ink £75,000-a-week Everton contract this week

Everton fullback Leighton Baines will snub a move to David Moyes' Manchester United to pen new terms with the Blues.

Everton fullback Leighton Baines will snub a move to David Moyes' Manchester United to pen new terms with the Blues.

The Mirror says Moyes had two offers for England star Baines rejected by his old club in the summer, the second of which valued the full-back at £15million.

But Baines, 29, will now sign a new Goodison Park £75,000-a-week contract this week, likely to be for three-and-a-half years.

Baines has only 18 months left on his existing deal and it is a major coup for Everton boss Roberto Martinez to tie him to a long-term agreement.
