Leighton Baines was proud to play in an all-English back four for Everton in their FA Cup victory over Macclesfield.
Alongside Phil Jagielka, Tony Hibbert and Joleon Lescott, Baines has formed part of a wall which was last penetrated by Aston Villa's Ashley Young on December 8.
"It's unusual [to have an entirely English back four]," Baines told evertonTV. "It's nice to play alongside the lads, especially as the likes of myself, Jol (Joleon Lescott) and Jags (Phil Jagielka) have come from the Championship and seen things like this (Macclesfield) and played these games as league games at times.
"I think having an all English back four can sometimes boost communication and make little things easier."
