Baines hails Everton transfer work for striker-pair

Everton fullback Leighton Baines says Samuel Eto'o is proving a transfer coup.

Eto'o came in on a free after his one-year deal at Chelsea expired and Baines reckons he can help push Romelu Lukaku's game on to greater heights.

He said: "Obviously we spent big money on Rom. So in terms of finance we put all our eggs in one basket and then to so come up with a free one like Sam is brilliant.

"It was a great signing, and for us to pull that off and bring him in is great.

"He gets the goals that wins us games, and who better for Rom to be learning off as well."
