Leighton Baines just wants to focus on football now he has committed himself to Everton.
The 29-year old left-back signed a four-year deal in late January after emerging as a transfer target for Manchester United.
Baines insists it was not a difficult choice to remain with the Toffees and after putting pen to paper, just wants to harness all his energies into playing quality football for the club he joined from Wigan Athletic in 2007.
"I don't think that it was necessarily that in need of convincing, it was just time really and my contract was getting to the point where we needed to talk about it," Baines told Sky Sports.
"Eventually we got around to doing that and got it agreed so obviously it was great to be able to draw a line under any uncertainty over my future and focus and move forward."
