Everton fullback Leighton Baines admits they're upset with Liverpool striker Luis Suarez over his role in Jack Rodwell's derby dismissal. There is still anger at Goodison, and not just aimed at ref Martin Atkinson. They are also annoyed at the role played by Suarez in the incident.
The Uruguayan forward seemed to make a meal of the challenge by Rodwell, and afterwards, Everton defender Leighton Baines insisted most players in the game wouldn't have reacted as Suarez did.
"Most of their players were shaking their heads telling you it's not a red card, so when you've got their lads saying that, it says enough," the England defender said.
"From my point of view, if I'm on the receiving end of that tackle in a game like the derby I accept it. The initial tackle is good.
"It gets a tiny bit of him [Suarez] on the follow through. Minor. And he goes down. Everyone's different. There will be other lads on their team, and most of our team who would get up after that.
"He obviously has a little roll around. Maybe the little bit of contact did hurt him, you don't know, but that's less of a talking point than the decision."
