Brazilian club Bahia will reportedly sever ties with American forward Freddy Adu.
The 24-year old teenage prodigy joined Bahia from Philadelphia Union in April but will be free to leave when his contract expires in December after making just seven appearances in total in all competitions.
"He doesn't play because we know that others are better," the club's director of football Anderson Barros told Brazilian daily Lance.
"He'll finish his contract and Adu will move on. ... He'll be free to join another club."
The next club Adu joins will be his tenth since he burst onto the scene as a 15-year old with DC United in 2004. Since then he has played for Real Salt Lake, Benfica, AS Monaco (loan), Belenenses (loan), Aris Thessaloniki (loan), Caykur Rizespor (loan), the Union and Bahia.
