Ryan Babel insists he wants to stay with Liverpool.

The Dutchman has been linked with a move away in January as he chases a place in Bert van Marwijk's Holland squad.

But he told liverpoolfc.tv: "He (van Marwijk) wants players to be playing at their club to get a chance to go to the World Cup.

"That's also what I have to try to reach and I am working very hard every day.

"Liverpool are a very good team, everybody knows that, and I am proud to be part of Liverpool."
