Ryan Babel has expressed frustration over his lack of minutes at Liverpool.

"With this substitutes role, I am not happy," Babel told Sportweek.

"I have had three good interviews this season with coach Rafa Benítez, in which he stated that I needed to improve my defensive game in order to be considered.

"My feeling is that I'm strong in this area, but still I get no real chance. This unfortunately hurts."

Babel's agent, meanwhile, insists Liverpool is the best place for the young winger to develop.
