AZ Alkmaar fullback Gretar Steinsson admits he has Premiership ambitions, despite signing a new deal with his Dutch club.

Newcastle and Middlesbrough were chasing the Iceland international over the summer and he said: "That was nice to hear, but at that time I had already decided that I wanted to stay longer at AZ.

"Yes, eventually it's my ambition to play in England, but first I want to grab prizes with AZ."
