Tanzanian club Azam FC have revealed they are yet to hear from Seattle Sounders regarding the potential transfer of Mrisho Ngassa.
The 22-year old Tanzania national team forward trained with the Sounders during the 2011 season and is reportedly on the verge of a move to Seattle but his clubs secretary general, Idrissa Nassoro, is as of yet unsure what will occur over the New Year period.
"We are yet to hold talks, I can't say if the player will join the team or not, but Ngassa is here and will continue to play for our team if Seattle Sounders don't recruit him," Nassoro told thecitizen.co.tz.
However, the agent co-coordinating the deal, Rahim Kangezi, was more confident that Nassoro.
"My work was to take the player for the trial and leave the matter to Azam FC and Seattle Sounders' officials, I hope he will go for another trial and conclude the deal, if he passes the trial, medical examination and other essential features in registration period," said Kangezi.
