Jozy Altidore equalled Clint Dempsey's record of goals scored by an American in a European season on Wednesday night.
The 23-year old scored twice, as well as providing an assist, as AZ Alkmaar beat Ajax 3-0 in the KNVB Beker (Dutch Cup) semi-final.
Altidore netted in the 74th and 90th minutes and also set up Johann Berg Gudmundsson's 88th minute goal as AZ progressed to the final where they will meet PSV Eindhoven on May 12.
The former New York Red Bull and Villarreal man has now netted 23 goals in all competitions from 30 appearances this season, levelling Tottenham star Dempsey who tallied the same amount last campaign whilst at Fulham.
