Jozy Altidore admits he is not worrying too much about his current position within the USA national team.
The AZ Alkmaar striker has not been selected by manager Jurgen Klinsmann for the last couple of US squads, including World Cup qualifiers last month, and is unlikely to get the call-up for next week's friendly with Russia.
Altidore has been in a rich vein of form in Holland, netting 11 goals in all competitions so far, and simply suggests he will continue to score goals at club level before thinking too much about the national setup.
"I'm not losing any sleep over it," Altidore toldsportsillustrated.cnn.com.
"I obviously love playing for my country, which is a dream of mine. But I'm focusing on just getting better and trying to score goals. I can't worry about things that are out of my control."
