AZ Alkmaar manager Dick Advocaat is still being chased by Football Federation Australia for compensation after he backed out of the Socceroos coaching job more than two years ago.
The Dutch tactician, who has led Holland, UAE, South Korea and Belgium at international level, agreed to become the head coach of the Australian national team after Guus Hiddink's tenure finished but he pulled out at the last minute to remain with Russian club Zenit St Petersburg.
It is believed FFA want a cut of Advocaat's contract with Zenit which was around $4million a year as he left the Socceroos in limbo with no coach ahead of World Cup and Asian Cup qualifying campaigns.
A source confirmed the FFA were pursuing the matter but said there was no other details to divulge.
"It is still ongoing and negotiations are continuing. FFA has not written it off and is pursuing the matter," the source said.
"When it is resolved, we may release details then."
