Newcastle forward Ayoze Perez has demanded improvement from his team mates ahead of the important trip to fellow-promoted side Huddersfield.
Magpies suffered a 2-0 defeat to Tottenham at St James' Park on their return to the top flight on Sunday.
"The feeling at half time was that anything could happen in the second half. They were having the ball, but without an end product," said the 24-year old.
"We lost the game in the end, and we need to improve a lot of things, adapt again to the Premier League, and we know it's going to be tough."
"It's going to be tough, but every single game is, we have no doubts about that. We have to think about us and doing our jobs, and we must improve, as we need to work on a lot of things.
"There is a lot of work to do, we have to make sure we prepare for the Huddersfield game properly, and that's it.
"Mentally, we have to be stronger, we have to be better, and now we have to start getting points."
