Ayew backs Swansea to move quickly on from Sunderland loss when Watford visit

Swansea City forward Andre Ayew has claimed that the Swans have already moved on from last week's disappointing 4-2 defeat against Sunderland.

The 26-year-old, who scored a sublime goal in the game which was marred with controversial refereeing, is now looking ahead to Monday night's clash against Watford as the Swans strive to bounce back swiftly.

"The decisions made in that game were very disappointing, but now that game is gone," said the Ghanaian on the club's official website.

"We have moved on from that – now it's all about preparing for Watford, and we need to be mentally tough. We have the characters within the squad to ensure that everyone is fresh in the mind and ready for the next challenge.

"It is a difficult situation for us because the club has not been in this position in the Premier League, and a lot of the players are new to it.

"But the strength and qualities within that changing room are very important to helping us move in the right direction."
