Former Liverpool star Jamie Redknapp has urged Owen Hargreaves to do a Paul McGrath and prove there is like after Manchester United. McGrath became an Aston Villa legend and played in a World Cup after being released by United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
Redknapp wrote in his column for the Daily Mail: "I don't think it's the end of Owen Hargreaves. At Old Trafford, they expect more of their players.
"He would need to be at 100 per cent all the time to be involved in a Manchester United shirt, but he might still have enough in the tank.
"If his body allows, he needs a manager who understands what he can do.
"A pay-as-you-play deal might suit him and, like Paul McGrath, maybe he too can prove there is life after Manchester United."
