Tottenham midfielder Ryan Mason believes the away goal has given the North London club an edge in their Europa League tie with Fiorentina.
Spurs managed a 1-1 draw in the away leg of the last-32 tie at the Stadio Artemio Franchi on Thursday and will face the Serie A club in the return leg next week, of which Mason now holds confidence thanks to Nicer Chadli's first-half penalty.
Mason, who captained the side on the night, told Spurs TV: "That was important.
"To come to a place like this and get the away goal is massive, it was obviously disappointing to give away the lead but I think on reflection in the second half it was probably a fair result and we're confident going back to the Lane."
