Littbarski currently manages J-League side Avispa Fukuoka, having previously accrued experience as an assistant manager at Bayer Leverkusen and MSV Duisburg.
Littbarski's bid for the top job is given further credence by the fact his assistant in Japan is former Norwich favourite Ian Crook, who is himself one of the favourites to succeed Grant.
