Andre Villas-Boas is driving Tottenham's pursuit of Porto star Hulk. Lisbon media sources revealed last week that Spurs had made a fresh move for the Brazil international as Chelsea dithered over their interest.
With Villas-Boas set to be confirmed new Spurs manager next week, its understood he has recommended Hulk to chairman Daniel Levy, having attempted to land the centre-forward while in charge of Chelsea.
Hulk would arrive at White Hart Lane demanding significantly less than Emmanuel Adebayor is asking for to sign permanently from Manchester City.
