Andre Villas-Boas was delighted with his new signings as Tottenham opened their Premier League campaign with a 1-0 victory at Crystal Palace on Sunday.
£26million club record signing Roberto Soldado scored the only goal of the match - a penalty in the 50th minute - as Spurs got the job done in what was a scrappy affair at Selhurst Park.
Villas-Boas handed Premier League debuts to Soldado, Paulinho and Nacer Chadli and felt the trio all performed well from the beginning.
"Bearing in mind that for all of them the Premier League is a different proposition in terms of intensity and passion, I think they did extremely well so I am extremely pleased with that," he said.
To add to the new trio that started, Etienne Capoue also made his Spurs debut, coming on for Mousa Dembele prior to the hour-mark.
