Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas is planning a major clearout.

The Daily Mail says the Portuguese manager wanted to give each member of the Spurs squad a chance to prove themselves during the opening few weeks of his White Hart Lane reign.

David Bentley, Jermaine Jenas, Sebastien Bassong, William Gallas and Kyle Naughton are all expected to be told they can leave this summer, while a number of the club's youngsters will be made available for loan.
