AVB not worried about his Chelsea status - 'I was brought here for a 3-year project'

Andre Villas-Boas is not at all concerned about his current position as manager of Chelsea Football Club.

The Portuguese tactician's role has been questioned recently following his side dropping to fifth on the league table and out of the Carling Cup whilst they are in threat of missing out on the knockout stages of the Champions League.

But Villas-Boas says the Southwest Londoners got him to Stamford Bridge for a reason and he insists that he willm continue with his attacking plans that he has adopted from the start.

"Because I was brought in for a three-year project and we believe in it," was his reply when asked why he would not see the Roman Abramovich axe.

"The philosophy is not a cancer - we are not speaking about something that is wrong," he added.

"It's at crisis point for everyone who speculates with what is happening and with events that are not happening at this football club.

"But we just have to pull ourselves together.

"I cannot repeat myself one time and then another time about the situation, we can only grab ourselves to our hard work and continue to believe that we are going to invert the situation."
