Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas believes keeping hold of Gareth Bale will lure other big names to the club.

Asked if Bale could actually help the club attract better players to White Hart Lane, AVB was convinced.

"It's a great question," Villas-Boas said.

"People also move when they find other players are able to promote their own potential. Gareth has that effect."
