AVB hits back at critics over allowing Lloris to continue playing

Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas says he has no regrets about allowing keeper Hugo Lloris to continue playing after being knocked out against Everton on Sunday, reports BBC Sport. "I stand by the decision I took and I stand by the decision made by my medical staff. They did everything by the book," says the Portuguese boss.

"A couple of people used this as an opportunity to get some publicity. They have no experience on the pitch of these situations.

"It is not comparable to NFL or rugby. It is not comparable to [Chelsea goalkeeper] Petr Cech. It astonishes me that it is trying to be put in the same mode as these situations."
