Andre Villas-Boas says he will revisit the prospect of playing Gareth Bale as a striker following his efforts in today's 1-0 victory at West Bromwich Albion.
The Welsh winger moved from a central midfield position to an out-and-out striker's role after Jermain Defoe hurt his ankle late in the first half at The Hawthorns and Villas-Boas' move proved a masterstroke with Bale netting the winning goal in the 67th minute.
"We started today with Bale through the middle and Clint Dempsey on the left," said Villas-Boas.
"It is something he feels comfortable with.
"It gives us even that possibility for sure. It is something we have to look to."
