Andre Villas-Boas rejected offers from around the world to land the Tottenham job.
The Telegraph says AVB turned down the opportunity to take over as coach of Valencia, and then Sao Paulo in Brazil, and accepted the offer to join Tottenham.
He will face former club Chelsea this weekend.
