Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas admits they need an attitude shift to be successful in Europe.
While Villas-Boas knows he must manage carefully the balance between domestic and European football, it is clear he will treat the Europa League more seriously than Harry Redknapp did. First, however, he knows he must change the attitude of the squad.
"These midweek games start being important again," said the Portuguese.
"Based on the respect we have for the competition, we have to get them used to playing these midweek games.
"If we can create this habit, then their mental and physical disposition for the game will be higher than it was before."
