Auxerre have snapped up Espanyol striker Ben Sahar on a 12-month loan.

The former Chelsea forward , now 21, signed for the Spanish club in 2009, but struggled to make an impact and spent last season on loan at Hapoel Tel Aviv, scoring 16 goals in 34 appearances.

He becomes Auxerre's fourth new signing of the summer, following Rudy Haddad, Omar Kossoko and Issam Jemaa.
