Australians in Europe action this weekend

A few Aussies will be in action in around Europe this weekend. In England, Brett Emerton and Vince Grella's Blackburn hosts Mark Viduka's Newcastle on Saturday at Ewood Park whilst Hull City and Richard Garcia face the unenviable task of playing against Arsenal; the match coming from KC Stadium, also on Saturday.

Brad Jones will be fighting for a first team spot with Middlesbrough who are away to West Brom and Lucas Neill will lead West Ham out against Fulham at Upton Park after being linked with a move to Newcastle.

Mile Sterjovski put his case forward for a first team berth under new Derby County boss Nigel Clough by setting up two goals in the reserves midweek; the Rams host Queens Park Rangers in the Championship.

In the Scottish Premier League, Danny Invincibile and Kilmarnock host Hearts of Midlothian who have a very strong Australian contingent in the youth and reserves teams whilst Scott McDonald's Celtic are up against Aberdeen at the Pittodrie Stadium.

Nathan Burns' AEK Athens take on Iraklis in the Greek Super League and Mark Bresciano and Palermo visit Sampdoria in the Italian Serie A.

In Holland, the departing Jason Culina's PSV Eindhoven are away to Roda JC and AZ Alkmaar along with midfielder Brett Holman visit Volendam.
