Mustafa Amini says the opportunity to train alongside world-class players at Borussia Dortmund has helped him improve as a player.
The 20-year old Australian midfielder impressed for Dortmund's reserves in the first half of the season before a hamstring injury cut short his campaign just as he was set for a first team inclusion.
Amini was called in to train with Juergen Klopp's first team squad during the campaign and admitted it was a great thrill to learn from some of the German giants' best players.
"When you're training around guys like (Robert) Lewandowski, (Henrikh) Mkhitaryan, (Marco) Reus, Ilkay) Gundogan and (Nuri) Sahin, you learn plenty," he told FourFourTwo.
"It's a different world of football.
"One time when I first was here, Sebastian Kehl and Neven Subotic told me, 'don't be scared because they are first-teamers, we are all the same'.
"If I made a mistake in training, I'd say 'sorry' and they'd say 'it's football, don't worry, just enjoy the game'."
Amini, who is contracted until June 2015, says he is intent on producing a big pre-season after getting so close to the first team in 2013/14.
"The coach said to me 'I know what you can do and how far you can go, it's good that I've seen this, but just work hard and make sure you're as fit as possible in pre-season'," he added.
