Australian striker pitches up at St Johnstone

The Australian forward Danny Invincible has signed for SPL outfit St Johnstone on a free transfer. The 31 year old was released by Kilmarnock following the expiration of his contract in January and has signed until the end of the season.

The experienced hitman, who was at Swindon for five years prior to his move to Scotland with Killie in 2003, is someone Saints boss Derek McInnes sees as having the experience to help his side until the end of the current campaign.

"We've had some injuries at the top end of the pitch where we were a wee bit light.

"I've brought Danny in; he's got the experience in the league which is important.

"He's a player who has not had a lot of football this year, but hopefully we'll get the benefit of that."
