Australian fans subdued compared to those in Scotland - Brisbane's Moore

Brisbane Roar captain Craig Moore believes Australian football fans are a lot quieter than those in Scotland.

The 33-year old, who enjoyed a stint with Scottish giants Rangers, said that fans in his homeland do not create the same atmosphere as the ones in Scotland do but clearly understands why.

The comments come in the wake of former rivals Celtic's 3-0 win over the Roar at Suncorp Stadium yesterday in a pre-season friendly.

"It's a fantastic stadium, a great crowd, a proper football atmosphere, which was really enjoyable…apart from losing 3-0," Moore told The Herald.

"Their (Celtic's) fans are always going to make a lot of noise. It was nice to see Celtic and Rangers fans sitting out there side by side.

"Those types of games are something that you do miss, but I'm no spring chicken any more.

"They (Australian fans) are a little more subdued, because the history's not there.

"We're still very new and we're miles away as far as those types of atmospheres are concerned. It's a completely different way of life out here."
